From the Daily Surge:
Last Week, Heritage Foundation’s Genevieve Wood was in San Diego, CA to speak at Freedom Frontline. Ms. Wood, who is a policy analyst for Heritage, was at the event to break down the recent elections, and give some perspective as to what the next two years might bring to America with A Republican majority in the Senate.
I asked Wood what she thought Congress might do, if anything during this lame duck session to supersede President Obama’s 10-part immigration plan, which unveils this week. She frankly told me that Congress holds the purse strings; continuing she said, let Obama sign all the Executive Orders he wants. We just won’t give him any money.
The 10-point plan could be released as early as Friday. The plan reveals a path to citizenship for approximately 4.5 million illegal immigrants and their U.S, born children. Also, in the mix is deferred action for children who came to the United States with their parents. Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell has said if the President moves forward on this, it would be a big mistake.
